He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Decker and Frances Decker. He is survived by: his sibling Gylmer; his wife Julia; his children, Janna and Terry; his siblings, Lola and Brian; and his children, Michael, Bradley and Dea Anna. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, and left in the care of Peterson Family Funeral Service.
