He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Robert and Mary Bernice Effert (Dewane); and his wife Veronica Julia (Ronni). He is survived by: his children, Amy Beckner (Larry) of Scottsdale, Arizona, Peter Effert of Phoenix, Arizona, Paula McCormick (William) of Sterling, Kansas, Nicholas Effert of Gilbert, Arizona and Joseph Effert (Katie) of The Woodlands, Texas. He is also survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; and a large extended family.
