He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Susanna and Harry David "Bud" Gilbert, Jr.; his wife Joy Susanna Gilbert; his brother Charles Homer Gilbert; and his grandson Keith Allen Wussow II.
He is survived by: his wife Ota Mae Gilbert; his children, H. David Gilbert IV (Brenda), Rebecca Medina, Donald Gilbert, Susanna Wussow, Arthur Gilbert (Thresa), Judith Scott (Winfield), Pamela Manion (Martin) and Martha Zeller (Scott); and his sister Martha Jane "Marcie" Ramsey. He is also survived by Twenty-one grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild also survive their grandfather.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers be made on Bud's behalf to Desert City Church.
