He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome C. Sterns and Elizabeth G. Sterns (Tate); his daughters, Denise Marie and Debbie; and his wife Shirley.
He is survived by: his son Hugh Sterns II; his grandchildren, Larry, Hugh III and Kaylee Sterns; and his brother Corky of South Boston, Virginia..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery (6500 E Bell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:45 AM at the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery (2033 N 48th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008).
