He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert E. Haynes and Anna May Gerrior Haynes; and his brother Bert Haynes. He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Haynes; his sons, Jim, Tom, Ted and John; and his daughter-in-law Cheryl. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
