With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Papastamos (Phoenix, Arizona), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Papastamos and Peggy Papastamos; and his siblings, Έλενα (Elena), Αλεξανδρεία (Alexandria), Κωνσταντία (Constantina), Άγγελος (Angelo) and Γεώργιος (George).
He is survived by: his wife Bessie; his children, Nick Papastamos (Candi Hess), Peggy Lewis (Marvin Lewis), Angelo Papastamos and Chrissy Robinson (Lovell Robinson); his grandchildren, Whitney Lewis-Fancher, Marcus Lewis, Jasmine Robinson, Tre'Robinson, Lexi Papastamos, Sofi Papastamos and Olivia Papastamos; and his great grandchildren, Grayson Fancher, Camden Fancher and Collins Fancher. He is also survived by children and grandchildren, Jim leaves behind numerous nieces/nephews, and grandnieces/nephews.
Even as his health declined, when he began battling Parkinson's disease after the age of 85, he was still insistent upon playing table tennis competitively.
