He was predeceased by: his parents, Pat Sparks and Jack Sparks; his son David Timothy Sparks; his brother-in-law Dr. Jerry Hilton; and his wife Janet Bowman Sparks.
He is survived by: his children, J. Steven Sparks (Luis), Sarah Suppe and Nancy Sparks; his grandsons, Jacob Sparks and Ryan Suppe; and his sister Mary Hilton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and a whole host of friends.
