Jesus Ramon Alvarado Obituary
Jesus, or 'Chuy', Ramon Alvarado was a generous, spiritual, charming, beautiful soul.
Chuy was the eldest of seven children born to Jesus Garcia Alvarado and Maria Louisa, or Mary Lou Lennon (Nee Bustamante). His two brothers, Ernesto and Victor Lorenzo, preceded him in death, as did both parents. His mother passing away just 33 days before Chuy was called by our Lord.
He is survived by his four sisters, Tillie, Judy, Mary Lou and Faye. He also is survived by three daughters, Gena, Tara and Amanda, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Chuy was born in El Paso, TX. At age one, he won first place as Baby El Paso. The adorable, charming baby stayed with him his entire life. Chuy had a magnetic personality and was always lending a helping hand to any and all. At age three, his family moved to San Diego, CA where Chuy attended James Madison High School. Immediately following, he attended the Paul Hall Center for Maritime Training and Education in Piney Point, MD where he graduated as a Merchant Marine. Chuy was very proud of his country and served it well, not only as a Merchant Marine, but also a few years later, by joining the Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he was stationed in Thailand. As Chuy liked to say, "I was in the rear with the gear." After his time in the Air Force, he returned home to San Diego, CA.
Chuy relocated to Arizona in 1994. Chuy held several jobs, mostly manual labor, but he was always striving for bigger and better. He realized this, becoming a published author in 2012 with his book Protect Your Freedom and Proteja Su Libertad, written and published in both English and Spanish. He dedicated the book to his brothers. Chuy was a dedicated businessman and always gave 100% to everything he did in life.
At the time of Chuy's passing, he was engaged to Julie Anne Carnes. While they had yet to say their I do's, they loved and lived together for over a decade. They were devoted to each other and were each other's soulmate and best friend. His fiancée, originally from Baltimore, MD, is broken-hearted and devastated to have lost the love of her life. Julie will honor Chuy's memory by continuing to spread the word about his book.
