It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Marie Thurau (Phoenix, Arizona), born in Burlingame, California, who passed away on August 29, 2020, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Whelan and Helen Whelan; and her brother Michael Whelan. She is survived by: her husband John P. Thurau of Santa Clara, CA; her sons, John Paul and Mark; her daughter-in-law Gabriela; her grandchildren, Genevieve, Jack, Joseph, Magdalena and Francis Raymond Guadalupe Thurau; and her siblings, Joseph, Dan Whelan of San Mateo, CA, Jim Whelan of San Mateo, CA, Mary Patricia Whelan-Miille of Davis, CA and Aileen Whelan of Burlingame. She is also survived by many cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews and dear friends.
