He was predeceased by: his parents, John Howard Whitesell, Sr. and Fannie Holt Whitesell; and his stepmother Helen Horney Whitesell. He is survived by: his spouse Jesus Salazar; his sisters, Sonja Whitesell and Priscilla Kearns; his brother-in-law Bob Kearns; his brother John Whitesell, II; his brother-in-law Eric Armentrout; his nieces, Ashley Kearns Neal and Rachel Whitesell Pittman; his nephew John Whitesell, III (Kate Whitesell); his stepsister Lisa Horney Sinclair (Robert Sinclair); David Neal and Stan Pittman. He is also survived by 3 great nieces and 4 great nephews.
