With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Garth Von Ahsen of Phoenix, Arizona, born in Williamsburg, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 30, 2025 at the age of 43. He was predeceased by: his sister Anna Marie; and his grandparents, Harvey Von Ahsen, Bob and Jane Vevera. He is survived by: his parents, Garth Ahsen and Vickie Von Ahsen; his siblings, Josh Von Ahsen and Jane Van Zee (Brett); his siblings' children, Kate and Will Van Zee; and his grandmother June Von Ahsen.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home (407 N Highland St, Williamsburg, IA 52361).

Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Interparish School in his honor.
