John Steven Brunhaver Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Steven Brunhaver in Phoenix, Arizona, born in Augusta, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 26, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry John's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May John's journey be filled with peace and serenity, as his find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brunhaver Jr. and Jean Marie Larson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo; his children, John (Samantha), Brian and Kathrine; and his sisters, Sally Brunhaver Burns (Danny) and Rebecca Brunhaver Card (Doug). He is also survived by extended family and close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix (23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Gilbert.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Steve's memory to one of the following organizations: the Lewy Body Dementia Association (http://www.lbda.org.), supporting families affected by the illness; or the Wounded Warrior Project (http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org.), honoring his lifelong commitment to fellow service members.
