He is survived by: his children, Byron Jr., Victoria, Edward, Timothy, Barbara and Patrick; his children-in-law, Todd Hochstetler, Gail, Renee and Adriana Fanning; and his grandchildren, Devon, Byron, Aedan, Finn and Emma. He is also survived by his wife and six children.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Byron's name to either the Andre House or the Wounded Warrior Project.

“Byron was always so proud of his family, Barbara, his children and grand children. He always had a smile on his face and made me happy to be with him. I was very sad when I heard the news. After a while I got out my wedding album and saw all the pictures of Byron smiling and I felt how fortunate I was to have had him for a friend for 67 years. There were just so many special times.
