Josephine Gilibpin Giltug Obituary

Josephine “Jo” Gilibpin Giltug, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on July 27, 2020, in Phoenix Arizona. Jo was born on November 13th, 1973 on the Island Of Yap, Micronesia, to Mary Fel and Peter Giltug.

Jo was preceded in death by both her parents. She is survived by her children Elysha Tun and Aaron Tun, her husband of 22 years Thomas G. Tun, sisters Nora Soulik, Mora Giltug and Victoria Giltug, brothers Eugene Giltug and Ignatius Giltug, and numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.

Jo graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1998 with two bachelor degrees in Economics and Political Science. She has worked for the Honolulu Police Department as a transcriber and as a Women’s Interest Officer for Yap State Government in Micronesia. After moving to Phoenix, AZ, with her family in 2010, Jo began working for the Arizona State Department of Economic Security. She has been a volunteer at the Mom’s Pantry food bank since 2015. She is known to friends and family as a cheerful and faithful servant of God who loved helping others.
