He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan (Harrity); his daughter Kelly Joan; his parents, Edward Scott Jr. and Joan (Boyter); his sisters, Susan and Karen Scott-Leonard; his brother-in-law Ernie Cusentino; his siblings, Edward Scott III (Laurie), Barbara Woodworth, Debbie Cusentino and Terry Scott (Karin); and his siblings' child Varsity.

In lieu of flowers, Kevin would prefer donations be made to the Pat Tilman Foundation, Habitat For Humanity, or Hire Heroes USA.

“Joan and Kelly, I am a co-worker of Kevins for the past 7 years. And while I live in the Chicago area and we never worked on the same team, we did get to know each other. Joan, he always talked about you and his family. Kelly, we both have swimmers as daughters, so we connected on that level. He was always so proud. He was a centered, calm and kind person who always made you feel at ease. My heart goes out to you and all who will miss him. He was just a darn good man. Tom Potter”
