He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Webster, Jr. and Lela Robison Rodabough; and his brothers, Harry Rodabough and Thayne Rodabough. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Rodabough; and his children, Holly (Chad Jewell), Mandy (David Miller), Samantha (Phillip Bates), Eric (Diane Davis), Brian (Sharon Driver) and Robert (Ruth Carlson).

In Lieu of Flowers, Lyle requested donations be made in his name to the Phoenix Police Museum.

“Marilyn, We have been recipients of Lyle's love and service for many, many years. The service today was lovely and the talks gave us more insight into his life as a husband, father and friend. We are grateful we were able to see and visit with you the last time we were in the Phoenix area. We send our love. I was with Lyle when then Elder Spencer Kimball was visiting and Lyle provided security for him. It was a touching experience. John & Gaylene Winters”
