She was predeceased by: her father Adolph Herrera. She is survived by: her mother Mary Lou Herrera; her children, Carlos Gomez, Sonia and Andrea Gomez; her siblings, Robert Herrera Sr. (Gloria), Armando Herrera (Diana), John Herrera (Terry) and Linda Halley (Charles); and her son Gabriel Gomez. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
