She was predeceased by: her husband Herb Gitell. She is survived by: her children, Robert, Susan (Dave Howell) and James (Shannon Gitell); her brother Alan Shapiro; her sister-in-law Sandra Katz (Gitell); and her grandchildren, Jill, Aaron and Benjamin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
