He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Zeilinger and Sylvia Zeilinger; his wife Elna Rae Simpson Zeilinger; his stepdaughter Shari Rae Pohlman Koelsch; and his brother George Zeilinger.
He is survived by: his son Christopher Zeilinger (Ann Baker); his grandchildren, Kyle Koelsch (Stephanie Cates) and Kelsie Koelsch; his siblings, David (Sharon), Ernest, Martha Ford, Sara Sevey and Joanne Owens (Steve Aderhold); and his niece Tara Kay Simpson Ehnes (Scott). He is also survived by several cousins, nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens (4310 E Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Double Butte Cemetery (2505 W Broadway Rd, Tempe, AZ 85282).
