He is survived by: his wife Anita V. Zitano Benavidez; his children, Sandra Gaiser (Phillip), Yvonne Benavidez (Joseph), Richard Jr., Joseph (Sylvia), Michael, David (Alyssa) and Marita; and his siblings, David (Martha), James (Bonnie), Ron (Genevieve), Doreen Benavidez and Diane Hanson (Mike). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
