He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlington Smith and Marie Smith; and his siblings, Arlene Hoch (Smith), Arlington "Bud" Smith, Janet Boeheim (Smith) and David Smith.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Smith (Jella); his stepchildren, Parker, Jordan Blusiewicz, Bryant Smith and Rose Smith (Kittrell); his stepgrandchildren, Weston and Aria; and his sister Nancy Kent (Smith).
