He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Helen Artz and James Allen Parsons; his wife Doris L. Chambers; his sister Mariana Myers; and his children, Jill Mitchell (James), June Whan (William), James Parsons (April) and Janet Robertson. He was also cherished by 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
