She was predeceased by: her father Perry Clayton; and her husband Ernest A. Zenk. She is survived by: her mother Emma "Grandma" Gatewood; and her daughter Sharon Whittington. She is also survived by three grandchildren, as well as multiple great grandchildren.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers will be made to Lutheran World Relief, which is her charity of choice and one of the organizations she donated to throughout her life.
