He was predeceased by: his parents, Royce Atkins and Marie Atkins (Linn). He is survived by: his wife Betty Louise Atkins (Dolleslager); his children, Cindy Gibson (Tom) of Cave Creek, AZ, Doreen Atkins of Sag Harbor, NY, Marc Atkins (Theresa) of Albuquerque, NM, Robyn Atkins of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa Atkins of Scottsdale, AZ and Todd Atkins (Karen) of Sarasota, FL; and his grandchildren, Marcus Atkins (Shannon), Matthew Atkins, Riley Gibson, Connor Atkins and Mia Atkins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home (4800 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018). A burial was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery (23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024).
