He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond M. Schmidt and Isabelle Schmidt (Haider); and his brothers-in-law, Todd Wright and Marv Erhardt. He is survived by: his siblings, Cindy Kephart (Kurt), Ranette Erhardt, Mary Erhardt (Darrell), Jackie Becker, Karen Mosbrucker (Kelly), Sherwood (Angie) and Ray Jr. (Tammy); his nieces and nephews, Miranda Murdock (Chris), RaeLynn Splettstaszer (Brett), Kelli Erhardt, Joy Hatzenbuhler (Dallas), Toni Knoll (Justin), Caitlyn Becker, Taylor Schmidt, Clif Kephart (Kylee), Clint Kephart, Trevor Erhardt (Sarah), Dallas Erhardt, Caleb Becker and Christopher Becker; and his close friends, Debbie and Curt Ferguson. He is also survived by 8 great-nieces and 10 great-nephews.
