He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Menk and Olive Menk; his wife Bettie Lou; his daughter Pamela Jane Badendick; and his sisters, Joyce and Fanny (Short).

He is survived by: his son Kevin Jay Menk (Jenny); his son-in-law Paul Badendick; his grandchildren, Julie Badendick, Jennifer LaSalvia (Eddie), Kyle Menk, Morgan Lojeski (Anthony) and Kelly Menk; and his great grandchildren, Amber, Raven, Nick, Brandon, Olivia, Vera and Bronson.
