He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Sr. Nye and Mary Kay Gore Nye; his wife Margaret Ann Wiese; and his stepmother Lenore. He is survived by: his brother Philip Jr.; his sons, Joseph, William Jr., Peter and Scott (Ashley); and his grandchildren, Mairead, Grace, Joseph Jr., Aoife, John, Brigid, Loyal and Henry (Neta Sue Melton).
