Zofia Bodnar Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Zofia Bodnar (Phoenix, Arizona), who passed away on September 28, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Zofia shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Zofia farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Bodnar. She is survived by: her daughter Laura Rivero; her grandchildren, Ashley Rivero and William Durrenberger (Katie); and her siblings, Krystyna Doniec, Barbara Walker, Jan Lisiecki (Helena) and Stanislaw Lisiecki. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church (4715 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of the Valley, who cared for Zofia at the end of her earthly journey.
