He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughters, Dawn Stensby (Rob) of Arizona, Jennifer Peterson (Chris) of North Dakota and Carrie Ann Groul; his siblings, Rick Stensby (Lynette) of Florida and Heidi Feist (Maynard) of California; his sister-in-law Sarah Stensby of Montana; his parents, Theodore Stensby and Margaret Stensby; his brother Terry Stensby; his grandparents, Elizabeth, Ralph McFarland, Ole and Anna Stensby; his aunts and uncles, Al, Myrtle Stensby, Mary, Alan Stoner and Katherine Ziegler; and his cousin Charles Millard. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
