Roger Reynolds Obituary
Roger Jay Reynolds of San Tan Valley, AZ passed away peacefully in his sleep on Oct. 2nd, 2025 at his home. He was born on Nov. 2nd, 1941 to the late Albert and Elsie (Rupp) Reynolds in Pettisville, Ohio and married Deborah Miller on June 6, 1975. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year with an immediate family celebration which couldn't have been more perfect!
Roger was a truck driver the majority of his life until his retirement. After he retired he rode his adult trike 6 miles around his neighborhood almost every day and made many new friends. The little neighborhood kids would run out to the road when they'd see him coming and he enjoyed watching them play and laugh! When he was young, he helped his mom make candy to sell and he continued to make homemade pure (no paraffin wax!) chocolate candy for his family and friends throughout the years.
Roger is survived by his wife: Deb; sons: Timothy (Laurie) Reynolds of Wauseon, OH and Rusty (Julie) Reynolds of Queen Creek AZ; daughters: Bobbi Jo Reynolds (Dan) Spahr of Lomita, CA, and Tammi Reynolds-James of San Tan Valley, AZ. Roger was also preceded in death by 3 sons: Roger Reynolds Jr., Tracy Reynolds, and William Reynolds.
He is also survived by his sisters: Shirley (Verl) Hochstedler of Kokoto, IN, Marlene Weaver of Pittsford, MI, Charlene (John) Norris of Wauseon, OH and sister-in-law Janet Reynolds of Wauseon, OH. He was preceded in death by his brother James Reynolds, brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Norma Reynolds, brother Jerry Reynolds and brother-in-law Larry Weaver.
Roger is survived by grandsons: Andrew (Jessica) Reynolds, Joshua Reynolds, Isaac Reynolds, Shayne (Skyler) Martin, Rylan Reynolds, Tyler Glandorff, Colton (Kelly) Glandorff, Chase Spahr, Keegan James, Hunter James, Jonathan Reynolds and Benjamin Reynolds.
Surviving granddaughters are Erica (Tyler) Bacon, Alissa Reynolds, Sarah Reynolds, Tatum Reynolds, Jordan (Matt) Munn, Triniti James, and Elizabeth (Tyler) Norris. Preceding Roger in death were granddaughters Tabatha Reynolds and Amanda Reynolds.
Surviving great-grandsons include Owen Reynolds, Ryan Reynolds, Kamden Bacon, Judson Bacon, Ricky Croley, and Luke Reynolds.
Great-granddaughters include Brynley Bacon, Elsie Marie Martin who will be welcomed in March, Makayla Norris, Jayden Norris, Chloe Reynolds, and Charlotte Reynolds. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
