He is survived by: his sisters, Annalee Bohon (Charles "Chuck"), Stephanie Walker and Melissa Trom; his partner Carmen Flores; his children, Jan Lauritzen (Eric) and Jill Portillo (Elmer); and his granddaughter Matilda Portillo.
