She was predeceased by: her parents, Corwin D. Denney and Catherine Whiteside Denney; and her sister Mary Catherine Turner. She is survived by: her daughter Betsy Delurgio; her son-in-law Jim Delurgio; her granddaughters, Samantha Delurgio and Ellie Delurgio; her sister Anne Jacobs; her brother-in-law Jim Jacobs; her nephews, Corey Turner and Josh Turner; and her niece Melissa Detmer (Turner).
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary (8555 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85255). A reception will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be dedicated to the COPD Foundation or Hospice of the Valley in honor of Carolyn Swango.
