He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland and Virgie; his daughter Vicki Van; his siblings, Glen Van Norman, Hazel Van Norman and Cora Gibson; and his great grandchild River.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Paulsen of Seattle; his grandchildren, Zach, Shae and Courtni (Darrien); his great grandchildren, Luna and Paxton; and his siblings, Wade Van Norman of Tucson, AZ, Rick Van Norman (Marie) of Smithdale, MS and Mary Crittenden of Harrisonburg, VA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
