He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Bower and Marjorie "Dale" Garst Bower; his former wife Mari Morrissey Bower; his siblings, Lucile Bower Theobald and Charles Robert Bower; and his sons, James Bower of Bloomington and John Bower (Lisa) of Carrollton, Texas..
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bower; and his children, Stacie Killian (John) of Towanda, Illinois, Peter Bower (Linda) of Bloomington, Illinois, Molly Bower of Queen Valley, Arizona, Tom Bower of Tucson, Arizona, Linda Gleason (Maury DeBenedetto) of Fresno, California, Lori Lorenz (Paul) of San Diego, California, Leslie Harris (Mike) of Phoenix, Arizona, William Newland (Dawn) of Martinsburg and David Newland of Anthem, Arizona.. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Pinnacle Presbyterian Church (25150 N Pima Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85255).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pinnacle Presbyterian Church.
