Max Potoker Obituary
Max Potoker, 90, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away peacefully at home on October 16, 2019. Max was born in Brooklyn, New York to Aaron and Celia Potoker. He attended Brooklyn Technical High School. After high school he served in the Air Force Reserves. In 1959 he married the love of his life Marilyn (Lazarow) and they moved to Great Kills, Staten Island where they raised their two daughters.
Max was employed by The City of New York before retiring in 1994. He and Marilyn moved to Scottsdale in 2006. Max loved to play cards and take trips to Atlantic City, Florida, The Bahamas and Las Vegas. He was the life of the party and loved to have a crowd around to tell his jokes to. Most of all he loved to be surrounded by friends and family, especially his grandson.
Max is predeceased by his beloved wife Marilyn (2015) and daughter Caren (2019), brothers Morris and Emanuel and sisters, Jean, Esther and Fannie. He is survived by his daughter Aimee Fahey, son in law John and his pride and joy, his grandson JJ.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 @ 1:00 pm at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85251.
