He was predeceased by: his siblings, Phoebe, Samuel, Gertrude, David and Violet; and his wife Talma Norris Scorza.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Wendt (George) and Jim Scorza (Lorraine); and his grandchildren, Christopher Wendt (Veronica), Jennifer Hardt (Bruce), Stephen Wendt (Isabel), Sister Caritas Wendt, Justin Scorza, Nathan Scorza (Gina) and Whitney Magnusson (Joel). He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren and 2 great, great granddaughters.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Arizona Community Church (9325 S Rural Rd, Tempe, AZ 85284). A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery (401 N Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arizona Community Church or Phoenix Rescue Mission.
