He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Rachel Rankin Layton and James Otto Layton; and his siblings, Robert Layton, Norman Layton, Jerry Layton, Jean Diesel, Ruth Schneider, Patsy Deters, Marian Brown and Norma Layton.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Layton; his daughters, Rhonda Onisile and Jennifer Evans (Burke); his grandchildren, Justin Onisile, Kyle Onisile, Ashley Onisile, Nathan Evans and Amelia Evans; and his sister Jan Layton Stoll.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona (2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024).
