He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert T. Wilson and Ruby M. Wilson (Palm); and his brother Don Wilson. He is survived by: his children, Chase Steven Wilson and Emily Gwenn Hawkins (Josh Hawkins); his grandchildren, Hudson and Sydney Hawkins; the mother of his children Gwenn Koehler; his sister Jane Verville (Blake Verville); his nephews, Jacob Verville, Andrew Verville and Brian Wilson; his niece Natalie Wilson; Julie Hayes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to River Valley Riders in Afton, Minnesota, or the Scottsdale Unified School District Foundation, organizations that reflect Steve's love of animals and the meaningful connection he found within his Scottsdale community.
