She is survived by: her husband Joe Silva; and her children, Thomas Silva, Daniel Silva (Suzanna) and Trisha Brodaksilva (Geoffrey). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that reflects Virginia's lifelong compassion for others.
