With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald R Maassen of Sedona, Arizona, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 11, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph and Alice (Fimian); his brothers, Joe and Chris Maassen; and his brother-in-law Bill Smuck.
He is survived by: his wife Kay (Benedict); his sisters, Mary Sue (Rick Hanke), Jane Smuck (late Bill) and Anne (Dale Langer); his sister-in-law Linda Maassen (late Joe); and his brothers, Jim (Karen), Tom (Lori) and Tim Maassen (Ann). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, their children and grand children.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bratley Funeral Home (10 E Bayfield St, Washburn, WI 54891). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery.
If desired, donations in Ron's memory may be directed to the Historic Civic Center Foundation in Washburn, the Sedona Historical Society, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
