He is survived by: his wife Mari Jane Huffman Burgess; his children, Malya Burgess (Forsberg), Latisha Burgess (Baker), DeeAnn Burgess (Moya), Tambi Burgess (Johnson), David Burgess Jr., Joseph Burgess, Andrew Burgess, Nathan Burgess, Camillia Burgess (Applegate), Tammy Poen (Shriver), Andy Poen, Barbara Poen (McCollum), Sandra Poen (Kuper), Benjamin Poen, LeRoy Poen, Lisa Poen (Bryson) and Michael Poen; and his siblings, J'Deane Edvalson, Kaye Burgess, John Burgess and Nola Edvalson. He is also survived by 75 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.
