She was predeceased by: her mother Rachel Goethals; her spouses, Cortlon Olson and Robert Simpson; her father Arthur Goethals; and her siblings, Don Goethals and Joan Pinks.
She is survived by: her sister Susan Rowland (Richard); her sons, Thomas Olson (Linda) and Michael Olson (Sally); her granddaughters, Daisy Mullen (Flynn) and Rebecca Walls (Chris); and her great grandchildren, Mercedes (Daisy) and Connor (Rebecca). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Best Funeral Services West Valley Chapel (9380 W Peoria Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345). A Mass was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Charles Barromeo Church (8615 W Peoria Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (9925 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
