He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Sherman and Jeanette Sherman; his in-laws, Elmer and Neva Claassen; and his significant other Mary.
He is survived by: his children, Gina, Taphne, Brian, Karin and Mark; his grandchildren, Joshua, Andrew, Brandon, Jack, Tyler, Matthew, Alexia, Jessica and Nathan; and his siblings, Nanette, Linda, Perry, Alice and Laura. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
