He is survived by: his wife Karen Caspersen Bales; his children, Lisa (J. B. Masters), Todd (Raquel Bales), Troy (Julie Bales) and Trent Bales; his grandchildren, Anissa and Peter Kossakowski; his great grandchildren, Harrison, Margaux, Kirsten Masters, Kai, Jeffrey, Natalie Bales and Jameson; his nephew Ryan Bales; and his goddaughter Kim Gutterman.
