He was predeceased by : his parents, Rafael Yanez and Ana Martinez Yanez; his daughter Mary Esther Yanez; and his siblings, Tony, Transito, Raymundo, Pablo, Carmen, Julia, Mary Lou, Irene and Rose.

He is survived by : his sisters-in-law, Olivia and Martha Yanez; and his daughters, Anna Garcia (Edward), Patricia Placencio, Janette Cruz (Sonny), Liza Clark (Howard) and Jeannie Castaneda. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
