He is survived by: his girlfriend Ermelinda Valde; his son Andrew Karonis; his former wife Joanne Karonis; his daughter-in-law Allison; and his grandson George W. Karonis. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church (601 S Central Ave, Chicago, IL 60644). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (2905 N Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL 60171).
