He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Thurman and Loyd Thurman; and his sister Dorsie Lee Douthett. He is survived by: his children, Dusty Ray Thurman and Trudy Joeslina Arrates Thurman (Justin); his wife Linda Peterson Thurman; his sister Sheila Ingham; and his daughter Missy Gardner (Marty). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
