He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Goodman and Ann D. Garmback of Cleveland, Ohio.; his brother James L. Goodman; and his son David Scott Goodman. He is survived by: his sister Sharon Coberly of No; his daughters, Melissa and Samantha; and his significant other Robert E. Dabbs.
