It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Jeffries McWhirter (Tempe, Arizona), who passed away on February 18, 2023, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Dr. J. Jeffries McWhirter; and his brother Paul John McWhirter. He is survived by: his adoptive parent Notre Dame; his sons, Thomas Daniel, Benedict Leo, Dominic Croix and Vincent Rock; his wife Kathryn Jo (Katie); his mother Mary Clare McWhirter; and his siblings, Robert J. McWhirter (Gina Huerta), Benedict McWhirter (Ellen Hawley McWhirter), Anna McWhirter (John Pitner) and Paula McWhirter (Mark Todd Schrader McWhirter). He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and 5 grand nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a memorial account for a 529 college plan will support this dream for his boys and are greatly appreciated.
