He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Mente and Matilda Engel Mente; and his brother James. He is survived by: his wife Judith Starrick Freidhof Mente; his children, Joseph, Scot Mente (Jennifer) and Kelly Freidhof Alexander (Lonnie); and his grandchildren, Bradley, Katherine, Julia and Elena.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to King of Glory Lutheran Church for their sound system and music programs.
